L A Barman was started by a bartender with over 20 years experience with one goal in mind: create a five star bartending service that provides world class bar catering that the average homeowner or small business owner can afford. A good bartender can make the difference at a private party. Bartending is not just a job, it's our passion.

I've worked for many caterers, bars, restaurants, pubs and other
watering holes throughout the city. My first L A gig was in 1986 where I was
fortunate to land a job at La Strega, a very high-end Italian restaurant.
Grace, the manager, a diminutive Argentinean, took me under her wing and taught
me
everything she knew about elegant service.
Afterwards, I worked at Molly Malones, Prince O Whales, Santa
Monica Yacht Club, and FantaSea Yacht Charters where
I learned speed bartending. The bar was aboard
a 110 foot yacht where as many as 150 guests would arrive ready to
party hard on the big boat. Looking back, it's almost insane to have only
one bartender for that many
people, but after FantaSea Charters, I knew there was no bartending situation
that I could not handle.
I shifted to catering in 2000, bartending for some of the most notable
caterers in L A: Moveable Feast Catering, Arli’s
Exclusive Catering, Monrose Catering, and Patina Catering. Realizing that most
catering companies are chef owned and run, I saw the need for bartender-owned
liquid catering service.
Since 2004 L A Barman has been the bar caterer for many small, medium, and very large private events, in homes and for businesses. After almost every event, guests rave about the cocktails and how much fun it was to have us there. Nothing makes me more proud than to know that we did a good job.
